Reba McEntire hosted this years awards. It was a refreshing change not to hear her bash the Dixie Chicks, even though she did go for obvious jokes such as Paris Hilton. (someone needs to help Reba write her material) The event was an overall success showing veteran performers and the up & comings. Again Kenny Chesney got cut off while giving his Entertainer of the Year award speech, what to do... Not sure if I like Faith Hills new song or maybe it was just the performance over the TV and it was kind of uncomfortable to watch Taylor Swift sing her single "Tim McGraw" to Tim McGraw. Sugarland rocked the stage, it was exciting to see Shania Twain along with, Brad Mates from Emerson Drive and Terri Clark, who were all presenting.
