And Then Some

This is the 1st album put out by Barnard & Brohm, which was released in 2004 and 4 songs are written or co-written by the boys. 'And Then Some' is pure traditional country music from cover to cover, it is very relatable to all walks of life and I think this duo is Canada's version of Brooks & Dunn.

Lyracally this album takes you through the emotions of love, the good and the bad. The title track 'And Then Some' talks about finding love and what it feels like as you try to resist it, 'Somewhere Between I Do and Goodbye' is a love ballad, looking back on happier times as the song goes "turn back the hands of time". It gives you the feeling that this song was written from personal experience.

A different take on a love song is '(Let me Be) The Other Man' it's about rekindling a long relationship and putting sparks back in it. 'Gettiing Over Monday' is the resident party fast paced song, and then to the traditional sounds of a steel guitar in 'What You Don't Know', 'Bull Ride' is an uplifting song about life and then there's a little change of pace with 'Jessely' as you hear a mexican flavour sound with a gentle sway of a beat.
