Review by Hope Ulrich

Rating:
This is Bamford's 3rd studio album, he wrote and co-wrote all 13 tracks on HT&HA. It helps to know people in high places, for Gord that person is Bryon Hill a well known writer and producer from Nashville, they hooked up, wrote songs, produced the album and released it all in a two year span. The result is Gord's best album to date. 'Blame it on That Red Dress' is the 1st single and video to hit the public air waves and is also so far, Bamfords' highest rated single, that's a great way to introduce an album. The next single will be 'Stayed 'Til Two', due out Jan '08, a song that pretty much everyone can relate to sometime in their life. Track 12 steps out of the traditional relm and showcases electric guitar for this love song that croons "Things Go Better With Love". Gord is joined by a special guest, a new up and coming artist, Jessie Farrell for the track 'Years Ago Last Night'. One of the heart reching songs on the cd, Gord wrote two days after his son was born titled, 'Little Guy', it's takes you through all the worries and excitment of a new father. There isn't one theme but a great mix of songs such as drinking songs, (Blue Collar Palace, Drinkin' Buddy) Love songs (In The Palm of Your Hands, I Said Nothing), and songs that pull at the heart strings (Hurtin' Me Back).

If you ever want to get to know Gord better, pick up his album.
